It's Fabulous!!
Barbados is fabulous. When I holidayed there I loved the islanders friendliness, the food and the West coast's sumptuous hotels and houses compared to the East Coast's natural wildness. There's plenty to see such as Harrisons Caves, Plantation Houses and the Flower Forest.
I know Barbados will welcome me again.

Barbados in a nutshell
It was beautiful and awesome. The locals were friendly to the tourists, and the food was delicious. Barbados is he best island to visit in the Carribean by far.

Heat Wave Sailing Cruise
The HeatWave Catamaran was recommended by our hotel and it was so much more than expected. The crewmen were fantastic! The snorkeling was amazing. We saw fish along the coral reef, a sunken ship, and many sea turtles. The lunch and drinks were delicious. It was the highlight of a trip with many incredible, unforgettable activities.

The First vacation ever
My friend invited me to a vacation to Barbados in March 09 and it changed my life. First things first! We stayed at Time Out at the Gap right by Dover Beach and it was amazing. The hospitality was amazing. The night life is amazing. Harbour Lights near Bridgetown was very cool. (I won a karaoke contest!) We stayed for a week and we wished we stayed for 2. I must return there.
The most important part of the trip was my friend and I fell in love while we were there. I think I might ask her to marry me the next trip down there...hmmm?

The best food is Bajan!
The best thing about Barbados was the one thing I didn't even think about before we set off - the food. Fresh flying fish fried with herbs, hot pepper sauce, rum cocktails of varying potency, rice 'n' peas - you have to taste it to really appreciate just how tasty it all is. And all served with amazing friendliness and pure joy! The other revelation was the buses - we used them to get around the island and always seemed to time it exactly to coincide with school home time. Several times we travelled on buses crowded with schoolchildren, all noisy and laughing, but all friendly, neatly dressed and very, very polite.

the island of paradise
Barbados is a beautiful place to visit, the beaches are clean , the sea is crystal clear and the bajan people are very welcoming and hospitable. The number one hotel on the island is Sandy lane, a lovely restaurant to eat at is the Cliff, If your a golfing person Barbados has beautiful courses and watersports is all over the island from jet skiing to scuba diving. For your nightlife St Laurence Gap is a must going Bajan style and dancing into the early hours drinking the islands own produced Mount gay Rum. Whatever your looking for on your holiday Barbados certainly has it all there for you a world of paradise

Barbados The Island That Welcomes You
If ever there was a memorable cab ride around the Caribean, it was on the Island of Barbados. Our cab driver was also our knowledgeble tour guide that took pride in the ways and culture of the Island.
The natives made us feel at home during our visit. It was a feeling from the heart, a gladness that we were there, at that moment, embracing the warm spirit of the island.
The generosity of our cab driver to actually stop at a sugar cane field and allow our daughter to experience the taste of fresh cut sugar cane first hand, is a memory that she still talks about 14 years later, when she reminisces about her surprise Birthday vacation to the Caribean at age nine.

Test match on the Beach!
Everyone knows the wonderful South & West coast Beaches with beautiful warm white sands & soft coral rocks. But to discover the Island we visited Bath beach on the lovely East Coast. It has everything you could want from a big carpark, lots of picnic areas and the Atlantic Sea to blow away the sleepy cobwebs from your head. We felt so alive to be here and honoured to be sharing its loveliness. As we walked in the turning waves some local boys were playing cricket doing their best to impress with their impression of Sobers, Garner or Haynes. As the ball landed close by I joked that England were a better cricket team, with no intention other than to share their joy. Ten minutes later I held the bat in my trusty grip and faced a 12 year old local boy eager to prove he was the next Malcolm Marshall. One man amongst a group of enthusiastic, friendly, joyful Barbados locals. Sadly England failed to win the 'Test match' but it was fun like I had not had before and will never ever forget.
